Peperoncino: Mediterranean Whispers in Prague 7

We want to tell you about one of our favorite restaurant, Peperoncino! It’s a cozy little spot that’s easy to get to and makes you feel right at home. This is the first post on our blog because this place is just that special. We always leave with that happy, full-belly feeling. Everything we’ve ever eaten there has been SO good. Seriously, everything! It’s also where Erdi had a candidate lunch for the job he has now. That’s how we first found it, and we’ve been going back all the time ever since.

Tomato Soup

Lokanta, Prague

Light

Warm

Well-Portioned

If you love starters before your food, this soup is great! It’s the perfect size to warm you up and make your tummy feel better right away. They serve it with soft bread. The only thing is, if you’re really into a strong tomato taste, this one isn’t super tomato-y, unfortunately.

BlACK RISOTTO

Rich

Oceanic

Well-Prepared

Try adding some Parmesan cheese. It will totally make your day! Don’t be scared by the little tasty creatures floating around, or if a splash of the color gets on your lips. It’s a great choice. Also, if you get the soup, make sure you save some of that bread for cleaning your plate!

Grilled Octopus

Lokanta, Prague

Melt-in-your-mouth

Smooth-Crispy

We’ve never actually tried octopus in Prague before, ’cause that kind of seafood usually tastes way better near the ocean. But, this octopus was exceptionally good! We totally order it every single time for the table and just share it all. It tastes super fresh, and even though it costs a little bit, it is worth it to try!

TIRAMISU

Authentic

Creamy

Delicious

This Italian Tiramisu was awesome and tasted super authentic! The coffee flavor was expressive but also light, which was cool. We think that the only thing they could make way better is the Savoiardi part. It was a little bit boring and tasteless and could have had much more flavor there!

The best part about Peperoncino is that it always has a cool, cozy feeling, but they also keep adding new and fun things. And the food looks like art! They make it so pretty on the plate that you get excited before you even taste it.

The flavors are always a fun surprise, too. They mix things together that you wouldn’t expect, but it’s always super yummy and not too heavy. You can tell they use really fresh, good ingredients, which is why the food is so memorable.

They don’t have a playground for kids, but it’s a super friendly place, so it’s perfect for a family dinner. Kids are totally welcome! If you have a dog, we don’t think they can go inside, but in the summer they have an awesome garden outside that your dog would probably love.

Oh, and guess what? They just added pinsa to the menu (it’s kind of like a light and fluffy pizza). We haven’t tried it there yet, but we bet it’s amazing because all their food is. So if you’re looking for a great place for lunch or dinner or even for a date, you should totally go here. You’ll love it!
